We recently introuced a new online renewal process using BEACON, the Third Age Trust on line system. If you already are a member you will have received an email detailing the steps you need to taketo renew your membershipand the link you will need to access the BEACON Portal.Details and guides are at the bottom of this page.
The online application process for new members will follow in due courseand the necessary link and guide will then befeatured on this page.
In the meantime newcomers can apply to join by downloading the Membership Form below (using the download symbol on the .pdf form toolbar), printing it themselves and sending it to the address on the form. They can pay the appropriate membership fee by bank transfer using sort code 20-20-62 Account No 53252604 or by writing a cheque made payable to Littlehampton u3a and enclosing it with their Membership Application/Renewal Form.
Our new Membership Year runs 1st March 2024 to 28th February 2025. However, if you wish to join Littlehampton u3a and you submit your application during January or February, we will include the remainder of the 2023/24 and the whole of the 2024/25 Membership Year in your membership.
Membership Fee is £10.00 per year. This fee includes a £4.00 membership fee paid to our national organisation, the Third Age Trust, which provides a wide range of services and benefits, including liability insurance cover.
If you are a member of another u3a you have already paid the Third Age Trust membership and you may join Littlehampton u3a for a fee of £6.00. Please include the number of your home U3A membership on the application or renewal form.
Online applications/renewals will save us time and money on stationery and postage. In the meantime please use this printed form if you are making a new application.
You can download the form using the download button on the Menu Bar. After downloading you need to select the form from your Downloads folder and select Print. You can then complete it and return it to the address on the form.
If you are already a member of any other u3a you may join Littlehampton u3a as an Associate Member for £6.00 per year since your home u3a has already paid the Third Age Trust membership fee. You will need to provide us with a copy of your home u3a membership card.
All members must:
abide by the principles of the u3a movement
act in the best interests of the u3a and never do anything that brings the u3a into disrepute
abide by the terms and conditions of the constitution
treat fellow u3a members with respect and courtesy at all times
comply with and support the decisions of the elected u3a committee
advise the committee of any changes to their personal details
abide by the members Code of Conduct (see under Constitution above )

We have speaker meetings and socials when we need help with the catering, signing in and greeting members; we have coffee mornings where you can chat with new members about what’s happening in your u3a.
