We play in the Miller Barn. There are 3 tables (sufficient for 12 doubles players at a time). It’s great fun, good exercise (but not too exhausting unless you’re daft) and it keeps the brain moving as you try to follow the score and remember who’s serving next! We all like to win but we’re really there to enjoy the game. Beginners and experts are welcome.
The Village Hall is a very pleasant venue. Car parking is good and we have access to the modern kitchen and all the usual facilities (which are excellent).
Cost
Currently £10.00 a month
When play is available, and the Hall is booked, each member pays the £10 monthly subscription whether or not they attend during that month. This is because the Group must pay the Village Hall’s hire charge ~ £14 an hour ~ unless a meeting is cancelled with 14 days Notice .

What does the group do?
Cycling for Pleasure, a route of approx. 15 – 20 miles to suit the friendly group is decided on the day but will be mostly flat! We stop for coffee on the way & plan to return at around 12.30.
Level of expertise
All welcome!
Equipment required
You will need a bicycle, a helmet and a sense of humour.

What does the group do?
We play a leisurely game of Pitch & Putt
Venue
We meet in Norfolk Gardens, near the seafront, see map of the area, and we may visit other courses by arrangement.
Cost
The costs are £5.50 per game, payable on the day. Alternatively, Pitch and Putt season tickets are available from Norfolk Gardens as follows: Annual – £139; Summer (1 May – 30 Sept) – £99; Winter (1 Oct – 30 Apr) – £59.”

What does the group do?
We meet to play social games of badminton doubles, followed by tea/coffee and biscuits in the club lounge.
Level of expertise
We are a mixed ability group with both ladies and gents.
Equipment required
Badminton racket, trainers with non-marking soles, comfortable clothes.
Venue
Littlehampton Badminton and Squash Club (LBSC), Sparks Court, Clifton Road, Littlehampton BN17 5AS, see map of the area.
Cost
£2.00 per session paid to the group leader to cover court lights, shuttles and the refreshments.
Please note, to play badminton regularly you will also need to become a member of Littlehampton Badminton and Squash Club (LBSC). The Day member rate is £60.00 per year (check for reduced fee options) from September. While you decide, you can attend as a guest at the club for up to 6 sessions at £5.00 each. The usual U3A session fee of £2.00 / £2.50 (Thursday Group) will be waived until you have joined.
Surplus cash is used to fund free sessions to offset the cost of LBSC membership.
